Anyone else seeing this on FSX?

I am using academic as well, I just cropped out the logo...which I wish they would do without.

I also have not put P3D on my SSD. I was trying it out on another drive as FSX currently takes up most of my 160 GB SSD. If i decide to switch, I should get better performance from that as well as it was quite noticeable for FSX.

I am getting around 25-40 fps in most areas. I currently have my FPS set to unlimited which I usually never did with FS9 or FSX.

Mark, I will try turning the ground shadows on, I had them off in the shots above.

Performance is way better than FSX. Getting no impact on FPS at all and the settings are just about maxed. REX & FTX Global are compatible. Yeah, i've tried those tips from rex but still nothing...maybe it's installed and it's my eyes lol

I will give it a try tonight when i'm home. Also I was able to get FTX Global to install ok and I paid the $5.00 to use REX but it doesn't look like the textures are taking into P3D, maybe a registry issue since REX was originally intended for V1.

From what I have been reading is that 1.4 was able to load scenery no problem. V2 uses different scenery files but it looks like there may be a way to convert them to P3D V2 format.

I've tried messing with the scenery too but its a no go. AI works great but scenery won't show at all.

Great shots! I'm really liking Prepar3d! It runs so much better than FSX! I picked up Prepar3d V2 but havn't had any luck with adding scenery or military ai. I tried to add Nellis using the same method as I have for FSX and the scenery doesn't show up and the aircraft seem to make it crash...any sug...
