BGL Breakdown

Just trying to get some great scenery working with the MAIW Florida Orions package and NAS Jacksonville. The scenery for the hangars is included with the AFCAD, and not separate like other sceneries. Is there a way to extract the scenery bgls? The AFCAD with the scenery is off and I am updating the ...

FS9 does not model TACANs, only VOR's. There is some navaid scenery out that works around this by using VOR/DME to sim a TACAN station. For example, if the channel is 82X, the VOR freq would be 108.20. Not all TACANs are covered and I believe these are for the US only. You might be able to make your...

Agree, decided to download and fly it. Great freeware plane, and I got a "Navy-ish" paint scheme. Of course I purchase the FS9 T-34 to fly around with the MAIW Mentor package and AS releases it freeware a few months later!

Takes me back to my AFJROTC days. Nice to be next to KLRF and get C-130 rides, and Army Guard UH-1 rides as well. Back in the Navy I tried several flights and even got my "ejection seat qual", including: 1. Reenlist in F-14B (didn't happen as we were at sea with no diverts) 2.EA-6B flight ...

The first vid is a test catapult at NAS Pax River. For training, they will just do the FCLP hops out to OLF's like Fentress next to NAS Oceana, most NAS's will have the markings painted on at least one runway.

How long has the project been in the works....3 years??

Great pics, and not a bad panel for the freeware C-17. I do these types of trips when I can here in the US, just AI spotting as I go. Reminds me of how much work went into some of the packages, great to see "flights" of T-38's or a group of F-16's.

Too bad we (US Army) will not get these. Our current ANVIS/HUD is not bad, although some hate it as it does add weight to an already heavy helmet/NVG combo. Great neck workout!

Here are some repaints for the US Army versions of the HTAI B200, which should be easy to find on avsim or http://www.htaimodels.com/downloads.html Repaints: http://www.graham-king.me.uk/Henry_Tomkiewicz_C-12.htm These should be the all white versions, but I do remember one time sitting on the ramp ...

Having C-12's based there is fine. Local TH-67 (B206) would be doing practice approaches along with a rare T-34.

Is it me or did they kind of...not do it for you? Maybe it was all the other great demos...F15E, F16, AV8B and F22. It's been a few years since I was stationed at NAS Pensacola, watching the Blues once a week. Not having #4 seemed odd. The F-22 was impressive, my first live viewing, the "Wow&q...

Just watched them yesterday at Lackland AFB Air Fest 08, with no slot (#4 jet) in the line up.

You guys covered it pretty well on the real issue, seen this throughout my career in both the Navy and Army, and I doubt it will change when I retire.

Can't wait for this. I have some VFA-204 repaints already for the HK F-18. The "JZ" Eagles are from the Southeast ANG Pack. I have an AF2 file that I think is from the above SE ANG pack, looks about right.

I noticed that more and more bases are building up the "apron shelters".

Right now I use the only AI F-18 out, the HK one found on avsim, which also has most of the repaints for every USN/USMC squadron and a "formation" model as well. Download the USN/USMC Herks and Airliners packages from MAIW.
