Re: For all us stubborn people still using FSDS
Great advice! I think that there's a third way also - one can change the order of the animation lines in the default.xml file of the sim to read backwards ( from 5 to 1, for instance ). Then, FSDS can parse the names correctly.

Re: Vought RF-8G Crusader AI.
I'll see what I can do gents, there are so many things that I want to build for flight sim that I often don't know which to work on first. I'm my own worst enemy

Re: Vought RF-8G Crusader AI.
Just updating this thread with a recent render for the full-size RF-8G Crusader. This model is currently less than 4,000 polys and apart from a small amount of tidying up is looking very nice for it. I will split the AI version off soon as it can make do with lower-detail undercarriage and of course...

Thanks. I should have more news about the flyable model soon, been very busy with work and also with a commercial flight sim project so juggling lots of balls at the momentVictory103 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2019, 23:12 Thumbs up here, following the progress of the flyable model and makes sense to produce the AI version if time allows.

Re: Vought RF-8G Crusader AI.
Thanks for the replies chaps. Seems like it's a bit of a split decision! I'll keep a modern conversion in mind and split the package into two for now. If the original AI Crusaders are a bit old, I can perhaps take on an entirely new version a bit later on.
Cheers

Vought RF-8G Crusader AI.
Hi folks, just putting a feeler out there for a potential AI aircraft. I'm developing the full version for FSX / P3D and wondered whether there was an appetite for an AI version? The reason I ask is that I can take the airframe from where it is now, at a basic level, and build the AI very quickly fr...

Awesome! Lived at Coningsby between 1990 and 1995 so it'll be great to see the old Tonka belting around again! Don't forget Fred Grundy's "Rasberry Ripple" display bird!

Re: Tornado for P3D V4
Oh, that reminds me John - if you're doing both types ( GR1 and F3 ) model the F3 first or leave enough room for it on the texture sheet! It has a much longer nose but the same fuselage as the GR1, so you'll be able then to fit the GR1 on the same overall texture sheet. Two birds and all that

Exactly, it felt a bit like anyone could just say I'd done a direct convert of the existing model. Good luck with the new one!

Re: Tornado for P3D V4
I can't let Manfred beaver away in the fine detail he is working with for Brüggen without having the proper AI to go with it. I'll take on the Tornado for FSX/P3Dv4 as soon as I've finished the AW139's. John I'm a bit late picking up on this thread. I offered to pick up the new Tornado GR1 / F3 mod...

Re: xml support needed
Hi Andras, I don't know for sure, but I think that FS2004 had a model.def file just like FSX, and the XML codes were added in there. You would name the parts appropriately in FSDS, and make sure that the FSDS partdataref file was also updated so that you could select them as animation names within t...
