Sadly, the author of this project hasn't posted in almost two years. But I hear rumor that there may be something else in the works.

Yes, I saw the HSC-5 paint job in the 10 yrs of screen shots post and the loaded up Sierra model. I hope it is one of the 10 releases. I did two tours with the NightDippers and moved them up to Norfolk.

Hi there, I am alive, I just started getting back into modeling and what not, so I need to warm back up, but I do want to finish out some of my projects.

It will be AI ships only. Might work fine in FS9.

Would really love to see this project with Chambers field especially happen, but hopefully there will be an option to deactivate the static ships.

Could be done easely by yourself. I did this retro addon some years ago with CF2 ships at static AI (USS Coral Sea and Valley Forge).

Chief,
Attached is a file I made up for the H53's. (It's been converted to FS9 format.) It's not fancy. I only made it to see if I could get the H53 to work in FSX.

A word of caution: I never got the H53's to show up at KNGU. (I did get them to work at MCAF Kaneoi.)
You have to make sure if you're using FS9 that the three afcads just released for the H60's, that there are 4 mil-combat spots at 3NGU sized to 23m for the H53. You also need spots at 1NGU, KNFE and KNTU. In the H53 config file the ATC parking codes should be 'H53'.

Good luck !
Joe

I use the Rory's non-AI model and no issues getting them into FSX, but now that I there may be issues, I have never seen them flying. Used them for HMX-1, USMC, FAM, German Army, and Israel.

Re: Naval Station Norfolk - in FSX

I'm off on another 'project'. FSX - MAIW Norfolk Hawks + my additions.
Using ADEX added airport polys for KNGU and the three NGU's. Using SBuilderX added photoreal NAVSTA Norva and the airfield backgrounds. Next up, Instant Scenery and FS Annotator to add buildings, piers, trees, etc.

Looking very nice indeed Joe. Are you able to publish the photo-scenery in the package?

That looks awesome Joe! I was able to get the 53s to show up on the ramps, modified the flight plan you gave, but I never see any of them fly. Are you going to post any of your Norfolk updates?
