General MAIW Package Issues

Post by Alex64 »

Hello!
I can't find a usable AI model for the Hungarian Air Force MI-24 painting you made. Also, the same problem arises with the AI MIG-29 Hungarian Air Force painting you also made. The AI models in your description can no longer be found anywhere. I would like help asking where to download these models (MIG-29, MI-24, AI, FS 2004)? What the paintings you make can be used for. Your website is very useful, I make a lot of excellent aircraft and accessories, I wish you a lot of success and perseverance for your further work. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hi Alex. Welcome.

Firstly, we have not released any official packages with the paints and models you wrote about.
Miljan, one of our members did produce a package for the Mi-24s and in the readme there is a link to the models. It does still work, I just tried it.
Which package for the MiG-29 are you looking at, as I don't think we have any.

https://sbai.kiev.ua/main/10-ai-mig-29v2.html might be the one? I just downloaded it, so it's still there.

The MKAI Mig-29M & M2 can be had here in the Egyptian Air Force package

Hi Firebird.

Thank you very much for your quick reply and I apologize, but I don't speak English. That's why I write with the help of a translator. This may have caused misunderstanding because what I wrote that I found these: (paintings) I wrote for information. But I'm really looking for both types by painting the Hungarian Air Force, which also includes AI traffic, and I would like to ask for your help in this, if I have it, where can I find it in downloadable form. Because I want to create older versions of Hungary's Military Airports in FS2004.
Help me, thank you in advance for your help!

Alex, if I understand you correctly you are looking for Hungarian Mi-24 and Mig-29 packages rather than having issues with what you have.

We have not done any official packages with those aircraft. Miljan has done an Mi-24 package which is available in our download hangar. This gives a link to the model.
I am not aware of any package that includes schemes, models and flightplans for the MiGs.

A useful tool is provided by another of our members. It is a search tool for any released packs. You can use this to search for aircraft or countries. http://www.owlsnest.eu/aiaircraft.php.

Re: General MAIW Package Issues, Static Aircraft

Post by Ramrod18 »

My first post... I've looked at the various topics and can't find anything on my question, so I hope this is the appropriate place. I've enjoyed your packages for quite some time and the AI aircraft perform as they should. I use your scenery libraries to add to locations in FS9 with EZ Scenery. I was wondering if there is a way to use the various AI aircraft as static aircraft in other sceneries or in a museum type scenery? I recall that you can alter a flight plan to once a week which keeps the aircraft visible except for one short flight, but I'd like to be able to place aircraft on other than parking spots or hardstands. If not, it isn't a big deal I think there are some static aircraft libraries, but nothing as accurate and good looking as your AI aircraft. Thank you so much.

It sounds like what you might need is SAMM. Have a look at Martin's page for it and download it and try it out.

Thank you for the prompt response. I have downloaded the program and will try it out as you suggest. I'll post here after I have some results either way. Have a great week!

Respectfully, I think LTCSZ (17 posts) needs to be banned.

Installed MCAS New River, the tarmac/ramps are not showing up just the grass, all else ok. tried uninstalling and reinstall, still have same problem! since the grass is showing up, could that mean that there is an elevation problem in scenery? Vince

I have just loaded it up and it works fine for me.

What I suspect is that you have something else stamping over it, or that there is something wrong with your scenery.cfg order.

Probably the easiest way to check whether the scenery is being stamped over or not is to remove your scenery and then go to KNCA again. Does it look the same?
If yes, then your installation was not correct check that the scenery layer has a high enough number to be above the Global Scenery Library installation.
If no, then something is stamping over the scenery.

My personal experience has Team SDB scenery being a cause of this. The scenery does not have to be for the actual base it could be anywhere is the USA.
For example their RAF St Mawgan was wiping out RAF Fairford.
