Scenery - US Carrier Groups
Does anyone know where I can find the Nimitz Class carriers like these but for FSX? I would like to station the Lemoore F-18's and F-35's on a few ships along with Oceana based F-18's.

Re: Scenery - US Carrier Groups
Well first off I have no intention of / interest in remaking this package for FSX I think Dan and I have for the most part moved on from this one... Honestly I can't remember the last time I used FSX.. But if you are so inclined...
1. The original ships are all available on sim-outhouse.org. The ships are:
uss_nimitz_ike_version2.zip by Javier Fernandez
Kitty Hawk Class Ships by Wombraider68
Also looking up this package would help you as well
USN ALL PACK TASK FORCE
But those are just raw ships... A lot of extra work went into them to make them what they are today... Adding static aircraft to the hangar decks; emissive features and details to Kitty Hawk class; animating parts such as elevators and blast shields ect... and the quick easy part of compiling them as .bgls...
2. You could probably open the .bgls and re-compile them for FSX using MCX.
3. Also you could use ADE and the Pro key (last I checked turned into freeware) to move my ADEs to the desired location / headings; and re-do the flattens...
Hope that helps...

No big deal. Was thinking about when these carriers are deployed having somewhere to put them, but I can change the name on the CVW to hide them while out at sea. I don't have the knowledge to be able to do all that needs to be done.
