And this shot looks pretty convincing except for the default landclass textures

The Corsairs!! Glad to see those get some love too!! See the FW models in use there!! Also I realized I never released Non-folding wing naval models (have nose gear bar) but incase anyone wants these since it looks like a full bunch of sceneries being made gives you another option...

Thank you for all the comments and compliments. I look forward to including your non-folding wing model. I plan on doing some quality assurance on my existing repaints before uploading.

And then we need flight plans to get them to populate the bases...

This applies also to A-3s. A-5s, A-6s and so on...

I have compiled a record of USN/USMC aircraft sightings from 1988-1990 from a 'spotters' magazine. However, as it has been produced using a snap tool i.e. pictures of the original PDF text, it comes in at nearly 200Mb in an MS Excel spreadsheet format. If anyone would like a copy please PM me with your email address and I will send it off, but note I will be away from my computer from Tuesday 10th March for 3 weeks!

I am compiling data from additional sources in a more friendly MS Word format and will have 1988 data available to upload hopefully before I travel, with 1989 and 1990 to follow a few weeks after I return. Although there will be some duplication of data from the different sources, it should result in a fairly comprehensive record of USN/USMC aircraft/helos during this period but there will be some gaps. Hopefully it will be useful for repainters and flight planners.

It is an interesting period to explore with older types being phased out and new ones entering service and of course culminating in Op Desert Shield, the build up to the 1991 Gulf War, Op Desert Storm.

cheers,

Geoff

Attached file contains compiled traffic, decompiled traffic - text files, textures are .dds format and 1024x1024,
aircraft.cfg entries to add and renumber as necessary.
