Military AI Works

This package, in conjunction with Military AI Works, depicts the Shorts Tucano aircraft of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Linton on Ouse. RAF Linton on Ouse is tasked with the training future fast jet pilots for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, the Station operates the Shorts Tucano T1. Also based at Linton are the 642 VGS which serves air cadets from the Air Training Corps and Combined Cadet Force, providing basic pilot training in the vigilant motorglider (a modified Grob 109b).


Included in this package are 50 MGAI Shorts Tucano and 11 ElvisAI_Grob109B, as a bonus we
have included 635 & 645VGS Grob109B based at RAF Topcliffe. Also included is fully custom
scenery for RAF Linton on Ouse, RAF Topcliffe, RAF Church Fenton and AAC Dishworth by Stephen
Legg & Rob Brittain, this is an updated version of the original Military Airfields in Yorkshire package and is designed to be copied straight over the original scenery.


There is also an optional folder containing textures for the two Qinetiq Tucano’s from Boscombe Down. (You will have to provide your own flight plans for the two Qinetiq aircraft if you choose to use them.

Thanks for the new package! I will have to compare this new RAF Linton on Ouse scenery and the UK2000 version and see which one I want to use.

The UK2000 scenery is good but not up to date, it also does not have Lintons brand new Air Traffic Control tower, and it will not have space to park 50 Tucs in sight. So it should be very easy for you to decide which scenery to use.

RAF Linton on Ouse new Control tower only available in the MAIW Linton on Ouse package.

Just a small correction in the description in the thread and on the front page. I believe its AAC Dishforth not Dishworth. My grandfather was stationed there with the RCAF in WW2.

Does the EGXU scenery blend with Horizon photoscenery?

The original scenery from Steve and Rob is from 2007, I think, and we have no indication that it fits the scenery addon that you mention.
Therefore I think you may have to try it out to find out, but if it is not mentioned then I would presume not.

Actually it's called Dishforth Airfield.

I decided to try it in FSX with the Orbx FTX England scenery & it blends in seemlessly. Great work all

An updated version of this package has been uploaded to the front page, and is available for download.

The new version includes a new the below changes,

Corrected hold short at EGXU
Panel lines added to fuselages.
Camo paint changed to correct airframe.
Gate Guard and Maintenance static added to scenery.
New AI Tucano model with Air Brake animation.

Am I seeing things, or does the Tucano have some custom animation thing for its approach? I could have sworn I saw one the other day coming in to land, and extended its gear well into the landing phase?
