Do me a favor and check performance....

Hi,
Once more I dived into the dark secrets of Google Analytics, W3C optimizations etc and tried to optimize my web. This time I have the feeling that the performance is really better.
May I please ask you to check the three most size and script intensive pages and tell me if you notice anything?
MAIW Reference
Military Aircraft Reference
Military AI Reference
I also have noticed a much needed improvement in the
AI Gallery performance.
Thank you for your support!

It may be my provider, but in my case the tables seem to load much slower. Especially the sorting buttons and links take a few seconds to appear. Checked in Chrome and Firefox and it's the same.
I'll check again later to see if it's my ISP or not.

I finally managed to enable automatically GZip and Caching for the Screenshot Gallery. Other small performance tweaks have been implemented all over the site which should add to a positive feeling, but will not make a big difference.
But the
Gallery should really be more snappy now. Can you confirm that?

I find that the gallery is much snappier today than it was a day or so ago. Great job Martin. Ron

Thank you for the feedback, Ron.
Yes, I think especially for the Gallery is is worth it. In case any of you noticed that the download center was down yesterday... that was the same performance trick but with a completely different outcome

Hi Martin, I had a look at your Buccaneer slide the other day when you first posted it, and it was quite slow - so much so that I only got to look at about four before quitting.
Now, the thumbnail page opened up very quickly, and the main images took about 3 to 5 seconds each to load. Works for me
