Fubar

Post by gsnde »

My recently staged new computer had a head crash yesterday evening. No data loss (I believe in backup), but because I am still waiting for a new NAS I have no disk image of neither the Office OS installation, the Flightsim OS installation nor the FSX installation. Therefore re-installation will be 5-8 nights instead of 5 hours :smt013.

This means no more screenshots, a delay of the coming AIAE version and not a chance to do pending test for some of you.

Did I say that I am not amused?
Cheers,
Martin

I know what that means for you Martin, having suffered the same thing a few months back. Luckily I had an image (or 3) produced with Acronis True Image. Definitely a good investment.

Yes, I remember, John. I do my data backups with Acronis on a one-disk-NAS. I had already ordered a new two-disk-NAS, which is bound to arrive this week.... In addition to the data backup this will have enough space for the OS and FS partition snapshots. Bad timing... just a tiny tad too late
Cheers,
Martin
