Has anyone got repaints for all the a/c used by 6 Sqn at Coningsby? I've downloaded nmai_f-4m_raf_traffic but it only has 3 repaints in it.

Cheers

I think Dale Ashcroft MAY have done them, only ever seen them in a screenshot, I don't think he released them.....

That's a pity. Could really do with them, trying to recreate the RAF of my youth!

In which case you will need 41, 54 and 228OCU as well them. Coningsby was a bit full in those days.

Thanks Steve that's answered one question. Next one is what was the strength of an RAF squadron e.g number of a/c?

TIA

John

14-15 on each except the OCU which had 20 as I understand it. RAFG had 10 on each plus 1 spare.

In the days that you were talking about the sqn strength was 12. The OCU had a strength of a double sqn so 24.

When you are talking the the F-4 the fortunate thing is that they are all two seaters but not all were twin stickers the simple way to check is that if they are 'XT' then they are twin stickers and they were allocated one to each sqn with the rest being allocated to the OCU or in the maintenance system. The OCU had a minimum of 12 twin stickers.

Hopefully this is helpful and not boring you too much. :D

The sqn strength that sluffer talks about is post Falklands, when 23 disbanded. On 56 we went from 12(one twin) to 15(two twins).

Thanks guys I've placed 12 F-4s per squadrons at Coningsby. I'll increase the OCU number.

Spent a very noise holiday near Coningsby. I think I was the only one who appreciated the roar of the speys
