Thank you for the new AI package, it's a nice one! Quick question, is the CL-215 a new AI model or one that has been out for a while now? Up until now I did not know there was a CL-215 AI model.

Hi Folks,

first of all....thx for another great Traffic/scenery package :!:

I don´t know if this is the correct forum to post my request...well let me know if not. But maybe you can help :
I have a mesh problem which seems to be a conflict with the HSP scenery which includes also a light LGEL scenery. I`ve renamed all directly to LGEL related files
of that scenery ( incl. AFCAD ). But all taxiways, aprons and the runway are forming canyons. :(

Does anyone have a clue.....what to do :?: I.e. which file`(s) of the HSP scenery have to be modified or deleted.

Thx in advance for help

Best regards

Hi Klaus

Perhaps we should start a new thread.

For HSP Greece:

Deactivate/remove

LGEL_Exclude.bgl
LGEL_navObjects.bgl
LGEL_Objects.bgl
LGEL_Taxisigns.bgl

For HSP Greece (NoTexture)

Deactivate/remove

AF2_LGEL.bgl

The altitude for the HSP airport is 66 feet.

You either need to create a flatten at 143 feet or change the airport altitude on the new ade file to 66 feet using ADE. Import bgl option and then modify and compile.

Beware in changing the ADE height as the scenery may be floating, cant confirm but I suspect that this is what will happen

Tim may be able to help as I think he uses HSP

I have made the changes to my set up and it works.

The scenery and taxiways will lie on the flatten. The objects are loaded on ground level by the XML, unless specified to and altitude.

If you do not change the altitude of the runway it will be submerged or floating. The only way to change the altitude of the runway is to change the altitude of the airport.

The HSP setup is unique in that the default airports have been removed from the original files.

For a standard setup the, one would need to place a copy of your new airport file in the Scenery\world\scenery folder to get the AI traffic at the desired altitude. Only if required.

Messing around with other people's scenery is what I have been doing to make up for my lack of artistic talent.

Many thanks to those of you who can actually make stuff.

Regarding Cl-415 and Cl-215.Due to lack of proper Cl-215 model Gary was forced to accept this ne as alternative.Paintkit was poor so I have added some more details but who knows, maybe one day you see new models for both of them :D

:) Yep I use the HSP scenery, glad you got it to work ok. I also use the photoreal Attica so I had to make my own version from scratch more or less the same as the MAIW one. To make things easier for the majority of users, we at MAIW generally use default FS9 locations. As to the CL415, I first had this AI version in 2004 from the HAF AI pack by a good friend of mine Kostis Prassos. The model was made by Marc Siegal who kindly gave us at MAIW permission to use his model. Look out for more to come out of the MAIW works for the HAF, not spilling any beans but WOW :D To enhance the Elefsis scenery further try the Hellenic Super Puma pack by Miljan, awesome. :)

Good morning @all,

it seems to work. I`ve create a flattern and change the altitude of the afcad corresponding to the flattern using ADE. Everything about 145ft

What still is to be changed ( if anybody has the intention to do and which has nothing to to with any mesh ) is to remove the PAPI on RWY18. As far as I know RWY 18 has no PAPI.
If you follow the PAPI on a RWY 18 approach, it would be a very weird approach :smt004  due to the terrain north and northeast of the field and you would land definitely not on the RWY but somewhere on the hills before. Regarding to some airport and appraoch charts LGEL has no RWY 18 PAPI.
Or did I change the altitude in a weird manner ?

Always happy landings :!:

Just a quick question on the AI front, were there any plans to paint up an ERJ-145 to simulate the Erieye AEW jets?

Packages works with a few tweaks in FSX.

I thought about it then decided not to at this point
You never know someone may come up with one at some point

I can confirm the pumas should work straight out of the box as the spots are coded as per the pack

Thanks for the info Gary. Noticed one was painted for the haf.zip pre-MAIW package, not sure what model it was for, surely not AIMalcontent.
The Erieyes are based at Larissa anyway.

Pumas fit right in on my FSX set-up as well, great fore-thought as miljan continues to push out Pumas.
