I am installing some Edwards Air Force base AI planes and I am have some trouble. It is with four F-35 planes, the AIFP is giving me a error saying registration number must be 7 characters or less. I am looking at them and everything looks fine to me. Here is the beginning part of the flightplan where the registration is, where is the error? I don't see what the error is.

AC#20,07-0744,1%
AC#21,07-0745,1%
AC#22,09-5005,1%
AC#23,09-5006,1%

I have those 4 compiled in AIFP flightplans, exactly as you have them, and they compile fine. Are you sure that those 4 are the problem?

If you attach them, or pm them to me I will see what I get. It may be an error elsewhere.

Ok this is embarrassing. I was looking at the wrong errors, it was 3 T-38 Talons that were giving me the errors.

These are the ones that were giving me the errors.

You do note that those t-38 have 8 digits, right? And that is the error, 8 digits when it should be 7. Remember that the "-" is using a space (digit).

Not sure if its on purpose Lewis, but you are missing some Airspeeds there.

A small part of my Egling F35's

Lewis is 100% right, the minus counts a character.

I need some more help with these plans. I am adding 4 F-22's to the plans and AIFP is saying there is no positional information is available for airport MAI7 and MA10. What does that mean? I have both of those in the airport txt file. How do I fix it so I can compile the plans?

When you load the flightplan do those waypoints exist in the Airport List?
If they do then your plans will compile if not it is because you do not have the waypoints in your system.

You see unlike Ttools AIFP doesn't actually need a flightplan.txt file it will generate from its index of airports, which is why you need to keep updating it when you add more new waypoints/airfields. The other reason is that there are no physical afcads such as used by Mike Mac's airshow routines in which case you need to add them manually to the AIFP system. The manual covers all this.

If you have the afcads in your system then update your system by running the Find/Collect Airports routine.

Thank you. It turns out I did not have the AFCADs for MAI7 and MA10. It took a while to find then but if anyone needs them they are in the MAIW Lemoore package. It's funny, I have that package installed. I guess I am missing a few AFCADs for the waypoints.

Is there a way to check for missing waypoints?

Not a simple way no. You probably found the best way.
