DOL Kliniska

My next project is something that was in my mind for quite a long time, though I did not expect to end up in Poland.
I is a highway strip, in Polish Drogowy Odcinek Lotniskowy.
During my research regarding the Polish Su-22s I found several photos of Fitters and other Polish Air Force jets operating from highway strips during exercises. These exercises were cunducted regularly until 2003 utilizing the highway strip east of Szczecin in the northwest of Poland - DOL Kliniska.
"... a 2 kilometer long and 16 meter wide stretch of national highway in a forest clearing of 60 meters wide.
The center of the runway was strong enough to carry a 30 tonne aircraft. ..."

More information about DOL Kliniska including some nice videos can be found here:

There is also a 1970s Polish movie featuring flight operations on this highway strip.
DOL Kliniska was recently reopend in flight simulator....
approaching from Szczecin
looking east
highway junction (highway 6 / country road 142)
approaching from east
parking space on the eastern end of the runway looking northeast
parking space on the western end of the runway looking southwest
a lot of spotters getting picked up by the shuttle bus
the western parking space with seven parking spots for fighter aircraft
I have not found any evidence that transport aircraft operated from DOL Kliniska in the past.
However the Polish Air Force C-295s should be easily capable to do so. I added three parking spots for them.
the eastern parking space with parked C-295s and Su-22s preparing for take off
More screenshots showing flight operations to come...
