It's here! It's finally here! :-D

Part two of our tenth anniversary releases premieres one of the most anticipated models ever: the V-22 Osprey. This package depicts the USAF CV-22B's stationed at RAF Mildenhall, UK.

Read more about this exciting package from John Young here.

Thanks, John. You are a true master. (I'm going to have to get a new hard drive at the rate you turn them out !)

John,
While watching two fly circuits around EGUN I was wondering if there is a way to fix the black rotors ? (FSX Accel)
Would the reverse alpha trick work ?

I pressed the Download button so hard that my cursor cracked my screen!!!!

If you have a tool like DXTBmp you can open the texture files for the rotors and if the Alpha Channel preview is white, then you will have to edit the alpha to something closer to transparent and save it back to the original rotor texture. Do not use 0,0,0 on RBG or your rotors will be completely invisible and that won't look realistic either.

Mildenhall looks really good with Tony's custom scenery, John's CV-22's and our KC-135R's with Henry T's C-130's rounding out the mix. Add in the MAIW Offutt AFB package and it really comes to life.

I'd be willing to be there are some other great MAIW packages that really add variety to this great base!

This is how the rotors appear in my FSX - very similar to FS9 in fact:

I think it has a lot to do with the graphics card and drivers used. I updated my drivers recently and the change is amazing.

I was wondering why the FS9 flightplans only utilise 7 out of the 12 aircraft in the package?

I've tinkered with different combinations of alpha, but still can't quite get the rotors to show properly against the backgrounds in FSX. Maybe it's just time for a newer video card.

That is explained in the documentation that comes with the package.

Just got them in but have yet to fire up FSX, but I would be ok with the old "see through clouds" issue just to have them.

For those other 5 a/c FPs, you can send them to Africa or NE Iraq.

9 CV-22Bs are based at Mildenhall I believe and 7 is about the maximum you will see on the apron at any one time.

What are you using for a video card?

Whoops! You're quite right. Typical of me not to read the documentation in full. Sorry.
