Please find attached a zip file entitled JYAI F-15 P3Fv4 AB Effect & Lights Cfg Entry.zip, the contents of which have been approved by John Young for use with his JYAI F-15's in LM P3D v4.

To install add the enclosed fx_JYAI_F15_ab_P3Dv4.fx file to your LM P3D v4 effects folder and replace the [Lights] section in JYAI F-15C, D and/or E aircraft.cfg file(s).

You are most welcome Andrew. This is the same afterburner effect file used in the v1.1 HTAI F-16 Family Conversion package, but coded for the JYAI F15 family.

Hello, I'm new to MAIW, and I love it! I've installed the Matrix North America package, and I found the afterburner files for the F-15. I've installed them per the instructions, yet the afterburner effects don't show.
Any help is appreciated.

You have to download this file (JYAI F-15 P3Fv4 AB Effect Cfg Entry.zip), see the link above on this page.
unzip and put the file "fx_JYAI_F15_ab_P3Dv4.fx" in the "effects" folder
Open the "Lights_Section_for_aircraft.cfg.txt" file, copy and paste the contents into the aircraft.cfg file of each aircraft by replacing the [light] section.
For me it works very well

Hi mageej and welcome to the forums,

The effect file is already present and added to the ACG (JYAI) F-15's in Matrix, so there's no need to download it here and add the cfg lines. In fact, it is strongly advised that you never add, remove or change any files in Matrix.

Interesting. The effects never showed on the F-15's in the sim, even before I installed the separate afterburner files. I also didn't back up the original lights section, so that's are gone. Guess I'll reinstall.

In fact, the original lights config text for the afterburner looked to be absent in the F-15's config file.

Ah okay, my mistake then. They are there on my dev setup but the changes for North America probably haven't been pushed yet to production.

That probably explains it. In the meantime, I'm still trying to get the afterburner effects to show. The effect lights text is inserted, and the effect file is in the P3Dv4.5 effects folder.
