Will there be other parts released in the future for the other fighters and trainers that were not in this release?

Greg,

The Hawk 100 has a strange little habit where the chocks appear and the pilot leaves the cockpit for a split second every 2-3 seconds, creates the illusion of flickering. I am not sure if this is as a result of some setting I have or not.

Bas, the crew should be visible when the engine is running (beacon light is on) or if the airframe moves during push back (VELOCITY BODY Z not equal zero). This is valid for all Hawk models so I wonder why this only happens with the 100 model(s).
One thing I can think of is that somehow the sim thinks the jet is moving. I have seen this when I used the AI model as a flyable aircraft but never when it is used as AI. Anyway, I will check it and let you know my findings.

I just tested in the Hawk 100 (model.clean) in P3Dv4 and I cannot replicate the crew jitter issue. When the jet parks, canopy goes up, chocks appear and the crew disappears as it should and does not come back. Do you use the NBAI_Hawk_100_AI_ONLY.air file and the Aircraft.cfg settings which are supplied with the converted package? I am asking this because different weight/contact point values may cause issues like this.

Hi Guys,

Thanks, I was using the Hawk with RealTraffic and PSXseecontraffic and it appears to be something in these two that created this problem. I have subsequently checked it with "conventional" AI traffic and all works ok.

Thanks for your efforts.

Hi - a quick thanks for these great models - am excited for the Provost pack that I'll be downloading shortly. For now, I'm playing with the Hawk pack.

My question is about T1 paints - from my quick scan of the paints, the included schemes are current schemes and colours. Is there an FSX/P3D version of the pre '1992 paint out there? I've looked everywhere and can't find one. Talking about the "old school" red/white/black scheme: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAE_Syste ... _1984.JPEG

Alternatively, a grey low-vis scheme: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAE_Syste ... 517250.jpg

Note, I'm not requesting anything, because I know everyone's busy with projects. Just wondering if these were somewhere that I hadn't yet found.

Thanks again - these RAF models are just what the doctor ordered.

Regards,

Daniel, I do not know of any red/white retro paints but according to the Owls Nest Military AI Reference there are grey ones on AVSIM:

RAF Brawdy 1979 - 1992 (plus scenery)

RAF Chivenor 1979 - 1992 (plus scenery)

Until I checked I thought that they had been done by somebody but I admit that I could not find them.

The IRIS Hawk comes in various colour schemes, including the red/white. It's for FS9, though there may be FSX/P3D conversions out there. I don't believe there is one for the NBAI Hawk - yet!

I've started to paint the FSX NBAI Hawk with the Red/White paint scheme. I've still got a few to do to finish them off. I'll try and get them finished and uploaded this week. I've also painted the Brawdy Hawks. I didn't realize there was an FS9 set out there. Anyway, I'll upload those as well.

Does anyone know of an FSX scenery for RAF Valley? I have the P3D version, but it really doesn't work in FSX.

MSPG did do an FSX version of their RAF Valley, but I can't find it anywhere now - their website has gone. UK2000 had a reasonable Valley in their VFR series.

I think there was also an ACG Valley from around 2009, but for some reason it's not in the MAIW Library.

Hi

Will they work with Nicks FS9 Hawks? Is it just a change of the textures to .bmp format?

Cheers
John

John, sorry but the textures are in .dds format so they won't work with FS9. The textures are flipped in .dds format. I'll see if I can release the paints in DXT3 format for FS9 as well.
