Thank you very much for the converted model. Does anyone know if the US has any Galaxy 5-A's and B's left in service? Or are they all M 's now?

At which MAIW airports would I be likely to find C-5 Galaxies?

The repaints contained in the conversion package are for the 9th and 22d Airlift Squadrons, which are based at Dover AFB (KDOV) and Travis AFB (KSUU) respectively. You'll need some flightplans for them though.

If you're using MATRIX and have North America installed, there's the 68th Airlift Squadron at Kelly Field (KSKF) and the 337th at Westover ARB (KCEF).

Update 1.1 for this package is now available in the hangar, fixing an error in the Super Galaxy's aircraft.cfg.

Matrix users don't need to download this update.

Hey guys, I'm curious about KSKF's C-5s. Greg, you said that MATRIX users didn't have to worry about downloading the update however I cannot find these in the MATRIX downloads. No flightplans, no paints, nothing. Did I screw up MATRIX somehow where it's not finding these?

I think that I might know the reason for this.

The only conversion that has been done for the C-5 is the C-5M as the earlier versions have all been modified. Last C-5A/B went in 2017.
Trouble is that I don't think that other than a few Ms that were based at Travis and Dover, and included in earlier packages, that anybody has updated the schemes for rest of the Ms.
Now it may be that the A/B schemes will fit the M mdl anyway but I have not checked this.

I do not know about the status of converting the A/B model. It might be that somebody is intending to visit the C-5s again once the Matrix cutover project is going through its last shake of the tail.

We're mixing up a few things here, gentlemen.

First of all, KC10Pilot, I was only referring to update 1.1 for the package in the topic title because the fix to the aircraft.cfg was already included in Matrix at the time of writing.

Second, all C-5A's were removed from Matrix when they were retired in real life, but since no paints are available for the C-5M's at Kelly Field you will no longer find any C-5's there. Matrix can only provide whatever content developers make available. You don't need to go through the files to see what is inlcuded in the regions by the way. There is a PDF for every region with all included units, as mentioned on the regions tab in Matrix and in the Matrix documentation thread in the Matrix subforum.

Steve, Pascal's C-5A is converted and included in this "MAIW PSAI Lockheed C-5 Galaxy Conversion" package, together with the C-5M.
