VH-3 Replacement

Just saw what I thought was a CH-53 fly over about a mile away, flying east to west.
Not unusual, as the military often use Charlottesville (KCHO) to practice approaches.
About twenty minutes later I heard it returning, so (as I always do when I hear an aircraft)
I grabbed my binoculars and ran outside. It was a lot closer, less than half a mile.
Focusing, it was a "white top" Sikorsky VH-92 ! First I'd ever seen.
Evidently HMX-1 over at MCAS Quantico (KNYG) has taken delivery of at least one
of the new presidential helicopters.
I often see MV-22's and VH-3's from Quantico.
Next time I'll grab my camera.

Maybe a repaint already, this article is a year old:

Got a great look at the new V-22s a couple years ago while waiting on refuel at the KELP FBO.

I love the 92s This is a great looking replacement for the VH-3. I saw 2 white top Ospreys this morning over DC. Cool stuff!
