This should go well with the nearby base Stewart. Certainly put a few flight of the PC-9 into the air.
Well done.

Stewart, if you wish to use any of my fs9 models, you are most welcome to. They were made to be used.

Thanks Sophie, much appreciated.

What I'm aiming for is a very basic interpretation, just to accommodate the 2FTS paints and plans we already have in the download section.

I had looked at using scratch built objects initially - however that fell through, so I decided to go with pretty much FSX standard libraries.

This will be the first FSX scenery I have played around with - brought about by having some problems with my FS9 installation.

Thank you again.
Stew

For those who have already downloaded Gingin - I had left out the FSX traffic file mentioned in the readme.

Updated file now uploaded.

Hi Stew

Just thought I would let you know that I have installed YGIG in P3Dv4 and it looks fine with no editing needed by me. Of course there is no traffic there yet as the PC-9 has not yet been converted but I'm ready for them.

I use Stewart Pearson RAAF Gingin (YGIG) scenery
But I noticed that PC-21s flying over from Pearce YPEA disappear when landing on YGIG
Why is this phenomenon?

When you say landing do you mean on final approach, after touchdown but still on the runway or something else.

Landing and disappearing after a few metres
Does not roll into parking

That generally means that either there is no valid exit off the runway or no valid parking to go to. Check the afcad for errors.

Parking is allocated on touchdown. Taxy routing is allocated on passing the first Hold node after leaving the runway. So if the traffic is disappearing on the runway, it's because no appropriate parking is available. That may be because it's all pre-allocated to types/units/airlines other than that traffic, or because everything's already occupied. Check the parking code on the PC-21s and see if there's anything on the AFD set to accept them.

Have just had a look at the Stewart Pearson YGIG ADE and the problem is probably that all parking is 7m and the MGAI PC-21 requires a minimum of 9m radius. Loading the Ade into the editor and making the ament should take only a few minutes. Took me no more than 5 minutes to locate the file in my sim do the change and save the updated file !
