E-8 Question

I like to keep my sim as up to date as possible. I went to scramble.nl and searched for "WR" and "E-8" but nothing came up. Is the 16th ACCS still a active unit?

The JSTARS mission is alive and well in middle Georgia. Tails are GA labeled and operated by the 116th ACW and 461st ACW. The 116th is a GA ANG unit and the 461st is an associate for active duty folks.

Thanks for the info.

I know why I didn't find anything on scramble. I looked up the reg numbers of the WR planes and the planes that have WR on the tail now have GA on the tail.

The 16th ACCS is still active, but in the original MAIW package they were still part of the 116th ACW while they transitioned to the 461st ACW in the meantime.

Because they are still active at Robins I decided to leave them in the package despite the incorrect tail labels.

Somebody did actually re-do them with GA a few years ago. I wish I could remember who it was.
Maybe that person would step forward so they could get the credit for them.

In a very opportune moment, Brian Clarke has just pushed a very good Robins AFB scenery to the File Library. Very nice indeed.

If it's these ones...I believe it was Graham King.

My fltsim entries do say Graham King but sometimes I replace textures w/o updating that part of the entry so it is possible.
The textures are dated 2012. I wasn't sure if Graham was still active in 2012.

If anyone could share or point me to the original package from Graham, I'd be happy to swap them in.

I am trying to find that update. I am hoping that there is a note in their that clarifies who exactly painted them.

I seem to be missing "ELVIS_E8_JSTARS.lua". Is there a chance it was not included in the last update of NA?

Indeed, it is missing from the global libraries. That's a good catch because we were about to release the stand-alone conversion package without the script as well.
