Anybody Have Info Please?

Wondering if anyone has any information (what it represents) on the special paint job on this C-130H out of Little Rock AFB...

May be a good candidate for a repaint if worthy of the time and effort of the resident repaint geniuses!

Thanks!

Apparently 2 where painted up specially for an airshow back in October 2018, The one Ray has painted up has markings to resemble and honor the era when the unit had RB-57s in the 1960s. The other aircraft had markings to honor the units early days of the 1920s and 30s and has a large yellow tail like a pt-1 and o-38.

There is actually a third for the same event. That one 14-5802, a C-130J belonging to the 62nd AS.

Very cool guys!! Thanks for the quick information and paint to boot...Would never have thought to associate a C-130 unit with an RB-57 unit past or present.

I quess this is or was fairly common practice in the AF to jump between a/c types over time?

Yes, if a Air National Guard unit wants to maintain a flying mission, sometimes they have to trade in those sexy fighters for transports. Researched this paint last year, but forgot to request it here great job Ray.
