Lossiemouth and Brize Norton Projects

Afternoon,

I thought I'd start a thread for these two on going projects and show some of the progress. Starting with RAF Lossiemouth, which is in a more advanced state than Brize. Started by Dale, I have been allowed to continue the project where he left off, I have working on it for some time now. Current with both bases, i'm focusing on completing the air side of the base first, before looking at the on base buildings.

Currently, the AFCAD is update with the current AIP, and Nav aids are also correct. New Ops rooms for 1(F) and 2(AC) Sqn's are in, plus the updated QRA North sheds in the old 12 Sqn HAS site. I'm aiming to release to base in its current form. Currently half way through modelling the new giant P8 hangar which is being built at the back of the XV Sqn ramp. At some point I might look at a more retro version from the early 00's, when all 4 Tornado units were stationed here, plus the SAR flight from 202 Sqn, but not sure yet.

Brize Norton, is again continuing on with a project started by Paul64. Brize is progressing with the AFCAD updated and the nav aids to the current standard. The new A400 and Air Tanker hangars are in. I have a few contacts now at Brize who can help me, but Brize is more of a long term project with the work left to do.

Thank you to both Dale adn Paul for letting me continue with the projects, so far so do!

Regards,

Matt :)

Cheers guys :)

Ado4567 unfortunately I don't own FS2004, they are aimed for P3D, however it may work still in FSX. I can only really offer support for P3D.

Thanks Manschy :)

Update, I have finished the P8 hangar at Lossiemouth. At the office side of the complex is done using a little bit of artist licence until the real building is finished, then it will be updated, but is roughly correct from what I have seen plans wise. However, I had to do a sign for it!

Afternoon all,

I'm please to announce there will be a WIP version of RAF Brize Norton being uploaded to MAIW by the end of the week.

I have managed to make some good progress during lockdown, as I'm working shifts from home, I not having to commute to and from work and have alot more free time.

I have added customer ground lines to the whole airfield, AFCAD has been updated and all parking slots are numbered and correct to the up to date Brize Norton charts. Dynamic lighting, however this feature will only work in P3d v4 and later. Fixed ground equipment on the main ASP has been added and a new Schopf Large Aircraft Towing Tactor (LATT) has also been added. I have spoken with Paul, the person who had originally started the projects and we have agreed we will release a WIP version here.

My current efforts are to get the main building and smaller buildings added that are more visible from airside. Tree's and other object fillers like airstairs, GPU's, new fire engines etc are also going to be done.

From 07 End looks towards the main part of Brize.

I'm sorry for the lack of updates until now, however I'm really pushing to get Brize out ASAP!

Kind regards,

Matt

I think we are nearly there with Brize! There has been a few delays, with myself and Paul being on holidays or work picking up while the kids have been off etc. However, our separate to do lists are mainly done, just in the process of combining the files we have both been working on. More info soon!

Lossiemouth Update - This is progressing however I've wanting for the building to complete abit more at the base. I've already completed the new P8 facility, however with IX Sqn getting a new hangar, new fire section and new ATC Tower being created. I'm wondering what to do with the current build of the base. I have been making GE and starting to redo the AFCAD to bring it to the same standard as Brize.
