No the installer will take care of that for you.

Ok, I see it took out my HTAI C-130E/H models, do these get placed anywhere?

The models were removed? But the textures, aircraft.cfg and air file are still there?

In any case I just updated again from 4.0 to 5.0 and everything is as expected: the obsolete texture folders were removed and the aircraft.cfg file was replaced in the folders MAIW_HTAI_C-130E, MAIW_HTAI_C-130H and MAIW_HTAI_C-130J.

Chris, I am not sure what it is that you were querying.

Could you explain some more please? Is it an entire folder, or some mods that you made, simply that you wished to keep the original HTAI paints or something else?

Sorry at work right after I typed this. Yes, after looking over the MAIW HTAI folder for both C-130E and H models AIEditor, they are empty now. This is under the North American Region, meaning all RCAF and FAM, plus the USAF/USN models are gone. Models, textures, airfile are all gone.

It must have been a glitch when it unpacked. I have just checked it after downloading the NA region and I can confirm that all are there.The C-130E, C-130H and C130H-30 are full with Canadian, USN and Mexican schemes.

I suggest de-installing and re-installing the NA region and you should be fine.

Not sure how this could happen because there's no instruction to remove those folders, only some subfolders, and there are no other reports of this glitch.

I'll send you zip file with those two aircraft which you can simply unpack in your MAIW_NA folder without reinstalling the entire region.

Thanks, add the HTAI C-130Js are empty as well (those are obliviously not needed now thanks to JY).

They are needed as well, as they include the VX-20 bird and the HC-130Js for the 79th RQS not covered by releases so far.

Likewise the C-130J-30s have some USAF and USANG units not yet covered.
