Welcome to the forum.

Your first post is a bit out of left field. I don't recall any post mentioning a B(I)8 from John or a Laarbruch from Manschy.

Do you have any information or are you asking about possible future projects?

Some time ago now there was mention of Manfred doing RAF Laarbruch BFPO43 and John was going to do the B(I)8s.Unless that is Im mistaken.

Well I must have missed that/those posts and I can't find them now.
I do know that Manschy is still working on his Bruggen project and no B(I)8 has been released by John so at the moment there is no good news for you on either.

I guess you could repaint John's PR9 as a stopgap B(I)8?

Hi, just to clearify I am fully immersed in work of RAF Brüggen and RAF Gütersloh. Unfortunately Laarbruch is not on my list. You can get a halfway fine Laarbruch scenery from Aerosoft, so it's payware and represent the airbase at current state (now with big terminal and fences to prevent military area access).
But with a little knowledge you can remove the current objects and use it for former days operations. Hope that helps a little :D ....

There's a freeware Weeze for P3D on Avsim. Search for wtzl_airport_weeze_v1.1.zip

I did make the B(I)8 as a request, but it's for FS9. I have no FSX/P3Dv4 model.

Is that model still around, John? I'd love to do a 16 Sqn B(I)8 as a tribute to a very good mate of mine who passed away not long ago. He always spoke very fondly of the B(I)8, which he flew a few years before we met up on the C130.

With pleasure Tim. I produced two aircraft for FS9 at the time (I can't remember why) but here they are:

One of the aircraft is already painted for 16 Sqn, but since the paint kit is quite simple, I've included it in the zip so other examples can be repainted.

I've Just uploaded the zip. As usual please give Greg a chance to make it available.

That’s very kind of you, John. My old mate Chris Bartle would be tickled pink!

If anybody wants to paint other ones from those Laarbruch sqns then I have some serials from that time.
I haven't got any from 31 Sqn and its PR7s that were also there at that time though.

Thank you, Tim. Yap, looks good from 1000 feet above (photoground), but only detailed work is the terminal building. Most other models look odd to me. Not to mention all areas with the solar mirrors...

I definately would suggest the Weeze/Laarbruch airport of Aerosoft. Only 15 Euro for it....if you are keen on operations in former days that's a fair deal...
(sorry for getting off topic a little...)

Solar mirrors are the fate of so many ex-RAF airfields these days. At least the old airfields are intact underneath them...
