Matrix 1.7 Update Error

When I try to update to Matrix 1.7 I get the following error message. I don't know if it's something on my end or yours.
System.Net.WebException
The Remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

You should no longer be able to get 1.7. The latest version is 1.7.1. Are you using the autoupdater? Or get 1.7.1 from our download hangar and install on top of your current installation.

It was the auto update that was crashing. Having said that, I did just download and install the latest file. All is well. Thanks.

Greg, same autoupdate error here for me (Remote Server has returned Error 403 ... in German).
I left the system as is so that you may have a look in case you like to.

Hello I had the same problem, the only solution is to uninstall the Europe region and reinstall everything in Europe and then everything works....

For me it was fixed a short time after I posted.
My gut feeling here is that I had a bunch of programs running that had files open which Matrix was about to work on.
From mobile hence short
