Any more Soviet / Russian AI coming

Post by jetpilot1980 »

More of a curiosity inquiry but wondering if there will be any more conversions of Russian aircraft? I saw that eastern block package for FS9 was released yesterday looked really cool but I see it requires several FS9 aircraft (MPAI Migs 21,23,25 and 27; SU-15, 24 and 25; as well as SBAI TU-160; SU-27 and 33) I was wondering will any of this be coming to FSX/P3dv4 compatibility? Would be great to see more of the Soviet birds out there both inside and outside of Russia (Africa, South America ect.) Thanks!

Not sure... But if you download the new "Warsaw Pact Scenery and Flightplans" file listed under files by newest; it has the flight plan .txt files. If you open the file Aircraft Soviet.txt it has the following entries:

AC#1870,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 01"
AC#1871,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 02"
AC#1872,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 03"
AC#1873,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 04"
AC#1874,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 05"
AC#1875,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 06"
AC#1876,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 07"
AC#1877,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 08"
AC#1878,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 10"
AC#1879,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 11"
AC#1880,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 12"
AC#1881,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 15"
AC#1882,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 16"
AC#1883,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 17"
AC#1884,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 18"
AC#1885,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 19"
AC#1886,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 33"
AC#1887,1000,"SBAI Tu-160 Bort 342

So based on that the package seems to be calling for a SBAI TU-160 package...

Ok. Thanks. But where can we download this model ? It's not present on SBAI's website.

The airfile and the paintkit were done here for Sergey. I just asked him where we are with this one. He was doing some LODs was the last update.
Cheers,
Martin

Maybe the creator of this thread knows as I see a lot of TU-160s in the pictures:

Yes, he definitely knows about the Tu-160. He painted the aircraft after all

But only Sergey will tell us when he is ready to release the FS9 version. After that we are allowed to convert the model and release it as well. As stated above, I have pinged him lately.
Cheers,
Martin
