On June 22, VRM-30, VRC-30's replacement, received their first Osprey at NAS North Island. And before anyone asks; yes, I have made a paint of the Navy's Osprey with John's model.

Thanks, beat me to it. The Aviationist had a story w/ vid. You can't really notice the extended sponson for the extra fuel.

Any Chance we can get the repaint or will it be released later with a project?

Don't see this one coming in a project anytime soon with JY's busy workload, but the bigger sponsons are not that noticeable on the AI model to work in a repaint. I just started looking at the paint kit for the remaining AFSOC CV-22s (pretty easy paint, just tail#'s changes).

Anyone know what sort of pilot track they are using for this aircraft? Just curious if they're taking helicopter guys/gals or fixed wing folks or both?? I'm guessing the Marine Corps will handle all the flight training?

First crews trained with the Marines, but a separate USN FRS is in the works. Need to confirm, but should be the T-6/T-44 track with a special helo short course, then off to the FRS.
