I'm curious how the Moron scenery conversion ended up and if y'all were going to be able to make it available for public release? I'd love to see it in my sim.

Any update on this? I don't see any other version of LEMO available for download anywhere. The link in the MAIW is no functional.

The file appears to have been withdrawn from flightsim.com and isn't hosted anywhere else.

Oh that’s strange. I found it and downloaded it last night. When I get back to my computer, I’ll check the browser history.

Go here: https://www.freewarescenery.com/fs2004/spain.html

Halfway down the page you'll find the link you need.

Alternatively, search for 'Spanish Air Force Bases' on Flightsim.com. This is what I get: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.ph ... d=93688367

Has anyone had ANY luck converting it into P3D v5.3? Every time I've tried it's been a mess.

Yes. It's not great, and really could do with starting again (it is a new AFD).

That's impressive Tim. Mine has NOTHING showing up and it was really frustrating. I went through Moron for years and have always liked having it working in my sim if for anything, trips down memory lane. Sadly, I can't seem to get it to show ANYTHING like you have here.

I started with the stock v5 AFD and modified it to fit a Google Earth screen grab of the airfield - if you go back to 2013 or thereabouts, you can get rid of the blurries they put on their military facilities now. I created parking to fit the screenshot and various photos of LEMO I found online, which is slightly different to Tim’s layout. I converted Tim’s LEMO library and put it in the scenery directory for the new AFD, and imported it into ADE’s Library Object Manager. Then, in ADE, import the other bgls into the airport and adjust the placings to fit the image as best you can - Tim’s models are a bit undersized so it’s a bit of a compromise.

I didn’t use his shelters, I used some from the MAIW shelter library.

As with all v5 airports, you have to import the stock scenery items (buildings) and then delete them in ADE so that the correct exclusions are applied. No need to import/delete anything else if you’re starting from the stock layout.

The whole exercise took a hour or two.

Oh, and as you maybe can see from the picture, I discovered I have both Nick’s and John’s Typhoons installed, so there’s rather too much fast-jet activity!

Eduardo, check your email.

Gracias!

If that’s the case, should I share my version (with Tim’s buildings) here?

Would be great if you can, I'm going back over my Euro forces and bases for v5.3. I keep forgetting to load the stock scenery, probably why I was getting frustrated with Aviano.

No worries Chris. I’m busy with other stuff just now, but I’ll dig it out and add it to this thread sometime in the next 24 hours.

Hi Chris

this is LEMO in P3Dv5 format. I've included the ad4 file so if you want to convert it to P3Dv4 or FSX you can (just import it into ADE set for the sim you're using and then compile it).

It includes Tim's buildings and some others from MAIW libraries, but I wouldn't regard it as complete - it was a quick construction just for fun and the methodology was explained earlier in the thread. It could do with more work before it could become a Download Hangar item, but I don't have the time to do it just now so feel free to take what I've done and finish it off yourself. It would be good to see it taken to completion, and would help justify Tim's work.
