Poseidons for germany

The german government is considering to place an order for 5x 737 Poseidon as replacement for their Orions.
The first idea was to order an european Poseidon, based on A320 neo, which would be availible in 2032.
This A320 neo will be called MAWS Maritime Airborne Warfare System.
The order for the 5x 737 Poseidons will cost 1.48 billion $.

Now it is official.
Germany (Deutsche Marine) will get 5x Poseidons for 1.1 billion Euro.

The german government wants to increase the budget for the Poseidon program.
It is planned to add seven more Poseidons. That would mean a fleet of 12x 737-P-8A.

The german ministry of defence has announced that the order of Poseidons will be reduced from 12 to 8 examples.

The government has reconsidered its decision about the numbers of orders and will buy 12x 737-P-8.
