help save "Dogfights"

Hey guys, I've been following a discussion over at the history channel forums and it looks like the popular show "Dogfights" may be cancelled:

http://www.history.com/minisites/dogfights

Those familiar with this show know this would be a huge loss for aviation fans and enthusiasts. There has been talk about sending as many emails as possible to the staff over at History Channel to try to save the show. whether this will work or not is unknown, but its worth a try I think. They may be contacted through email:

thc.viewerrelations@aetv.com

finding decent aviation programing is pretty rare these days with everyone jumping on the "reality tv" bandwagon, so please take some time out to express your opinions concerning this show.

I love that show, the graphics are simply incredible. I do kinda get the feeling though that its audience is very narrow so that in the end may do it in. Also I think they're starting to run out of dogfights to show.

I will send them an email for sure.

Email sent, however, I'm afraid that Mike may be right. Its a shame. I have TIVO and I record all aviation programs on the The History Channel but there really isn't much new out there.

It was a major blow when Discovery dropped their Wings channel and replaced it with Turbo which is mainly concerned with cars!

Hmmm.........sitting here in the hotel watching what to me are new episodes of Dogfights. These are being re-run on a Friday morning. Maybe there's still hope. This episode is about night fighters. Good stuff.
