The recent F-35 repaints are all in DDS format. This format is compatible for FSX I think. I've converted them in BMP for my FS9.

Why don't you just try one and determine for yourself whether you are right or wrong?

One thing I did get when I installed the F35A paints was a duplicate aircraft titles error come up for the Japanese paints based at Luke AFB that were originally released. I have removed the Japanese presence at Luke to remove the above error. Does anyone know the current status of foreign F35A units still based at Luke (or other US bases) ?

It didn't work for me.
When I copy the files to the FSX Aircraft folder and select the aircraft in the ai flightplan, I see a transparant F-35.
I have no doubts to the files, but have no clue what is going wrong within fsx, any suggestions?

Geurtse75, which F-35 version are you looking at and what is the name of the texture in each of that version's texture folders?

Hi John,

I used your p3d4 files for the JYAI F-35 and downloaded the whole package 1 till 9.
I have read the files work in FSX, but I think there is a problem with fsx of which I do not understand. For example I have used the Danish textures for AI flightplans.

Do you see the original schemes for the FSX schemes released, or are the aircraft there as well?

Try again - which F-35 version (A, B or C) are you looking at that gives a transparent texture and what is the name of the textures you have added to that version's texture folders?

Hi John,

I am refering to the F-35A International
Texture:
[fltsim.83]
TITLE=JYAI F-35A Denmark L-007
SIM=JYAI_Lockheed_Martin_F-35A-B_Lightning_II_AI_ONLY
MODEL=clean
TEXTURE=Denmark_L-007
ATC_AIRLINE=
ATC_PARKING_CODES=F35
ATC_PARKING_TYPES=MIL_COMBAT
UI_MANUFACTURER=JYAI
UI_TYPE=LOCKHEED MARTIN F-35A LIGHTNING II
UI_VARIATION=Denmark L-007
Description=Model and Paintkit by John Young. Repaint by Steve Barker.

Or do you still making a FSX version only, like you did before?

Have you installed the FS9 version or the FSX version into P3D? What is the full title of the zip that it came from? What is the name of the texture file that's in one of the texture folders?

How do you convert the files to fs9 or in my case to fsx, what programm/ app do you use?

Hi John,

I have installed the P3d into fsx.
The zip files I have used is 1 till 9 recently published, for example I copied all the repaints into the f-35 a folder.
By other it works, I as a fan really like the packages you make. Hopefully it will work out soon. If you need all the zipfiles I will send the names of it,

Eric

Eric,
Those textures , zips 1-9, are not from John.

What we are trying to find out is whether the original models and textures supplied by John have a problem in your game or whether it is the addons by Steve Barker earlier this month.

So lets start from the beginning.
The original F-35A pack from JY back in April 2018. Do these have a problem or just the latest schemes released this month?
Steve
