Is it just me or is in normal when comming in on short final, not all but some airports, there is short pause, just enough to throw your concentration off when landing.

Each system is going to be different and so each one will get certain quirks. So I don't think yours will be unique but I don't think that it will necessarily be the norm either.
Since going to a RAID10 disk system mine has new quirks, so this is what I base this on.

My guess is that at that point your system suddenly has a whole bunch of new polys to process and that causes it.

I think that can indicate that your system has trouble loading the tire smoke effect. Try turning it down in settings.
