Global Ai Caribou

Just wondering if anyone can shed a little light. I have the above installed and looks very good,
However when it taxi's the wheel chocks stay in place and it uses turboprop engines.
Is there something missing in the model file or is that how it is supposed to be??

Are you using this for AI or flyable?

Ai only

Strange, I don't get the chocks issue at all. Can you confirm that you use FS9?
The turboprop entry is of no significance to the AI interface, in this particular case. It was purely what the FDE was built from rather than being accurate.

Yes I am using FS9. I have changed the air file to prop and changed engine details to reflect piston engine. That works fine but the wheel chocks travel with the moving aircraft.
I will use the original air file and see if that resolves the issue, though I don't think this
has any bearing on what fs9 displays.
Perhaps my FDE is corrupt. I will also reinstall the formentioned with a new copy to
see if this resolves the issue.

I would agree that altering the fde should not cause that, but stranger things have happened. It maybe that the mdl got corrupted.

I'd replace the aircraft.cfg if I was you. Sounds to me like a trigger for the chocks to disappear is not working. (example a nav light or something)

Changing it to prop is what did it.
FS9 AI use lights differently depending on what their engine type is set to, recips will not turn on nav lights during the day, which is what the chock appearance is tied to, if I recall.

Well there you go, you learn something new everyday.

Is there a way that I can change that? I really don't like the sond of the turbop[rop for the Caribou.
Perhaps link chocks and door with beacon?
I use FSHotSFX With modified caribou souns that sound good.

I believe that would necessitate altering and recompiling the model.

Nope, linking them to beacons or engines would mean that the chocks will be visible during pushback.
Anyhow, if you're using FSHotSFX with custom sounds, what difference does it make what the engine type is set to? :|

It does not quite sit right. Caribous traditioally are not turbo prop.
Sounds strange as FSHotefex only comes in at take off not during taxi.
Great model though, just wish there were maore repaints avilable. :D

Hello,

I'm searching yellow RCAF repaint for this aircraft. I"ve searched but never find.

I just find spanish and RAAF repaints.

If someone have RCAF repaints I'm interested.

Thanks a lot.
