Eielson WIP

You wanted it and here it is!
I started working on it tonight and the taxiways are already in place. I also started placing some objects using hte Elmendorf, Klamath Falls and Portland libraries
Main hangar and control tower. The hangar has reinforcements on its sides and tower is a bit taller than it should be but the PACAF patch looks nice (I think I'll replace it though)!
Weather shelters
The real ones
Housing
Last but not least, there is a four-place Weather shelter in the southern corner. I did NOT manage to find a suitable object. Any suggestion?

Maybe you can use this:

Not bad, but it has writings and looks very specific!
I found a similar building but has the Oregon ANG patches, so I discarded it!

I made one like that for the...Minnesota ANG I think. You might be able to use it. It's hard to tell from my iPhone.

There is also an update for Bitburg with a new AFCAD file and new airport background texture.

A second-best solution... this seemed to be the most suitable building, though the whole object comes with another one close to it.

Dear MAIW stakeholders,
today I had a lot of spare time so I added several object to the Eielson scenery.
Instead of posting screenshots as usual, I prefer you to see the scenery directly in your sim, so please download it and pos your feedback!

Very nice !! I see you've got one building to finish and to add the roads and the taxiways outside of the main ones (?)
Really looks good ! This from MAIW's really most inexperianced member .
Cheers
Brian
PS: if you get the ATC job GO FOR IT

Looks like you could use a new airfield grass background and maybe some updated land class around there??

Yes, there are lots of buildings to add yet, but the taxiways are complete, just some aprons are missing!
ATC? Let's wait for the results... until April! Fingers crossed!

I know, it doesn't look that good... When done I'll ask Hartwig to do a specific background file using the autogen textures, so I'll avoid placing the trees. There is just that railway that I would like to remove, but I have to find a way...

The railway can also be removed using Sbuilder.

Yep, would take less than 5 minutes. SBuilder can remove any sort of textured line like rail lines, roads and power lines. It can also add all those as well.

Ok, I'll try. Hartwig, is SBuilder the program you use to make backgrounds?

James, everything is explained in detail by Mike G. in
this thread.
