Loaded up weather based on the real KFFO metar report and it came out very nice, took these shots at dusk, just as the UT USA lights started coming on:

3 T-1 Jayhawks from 3 different bases, Vance AFB (VN), Laughlin AFB (XL) and Randolph AFB (RA)

Tinker AFB, E-3 AWACS

Need to delete this old fella from my sim.........

Here is a quick flight plan I wrote for the new C-17:

AC#71,07-0044,50%,WEEK,IFR,1/18:14:46,TNG1/19:13:50,030,F,0044,KFFO,
3/14:33:49,TNG3/15:48:52,070,F,0044,KLCK,3/15:53:47,3/16:15:56,060,F,0044,KFFO,
5/19:09:58,TNG5/20:59:28,030,F,0044,KDAY,5/21:03:10,5/21:19:10,030,F,0044,KFFO

You will need these three airports in your Airports.txt file:

KDAY,N39* 54.14',W84* 13.16',1007
KFFO,N39* 49.49',W84* 2.79',820
KLCK,N39* 48.82',W82* 55.66',741

This has the aircraft flying IFR practice approaches at KFFO, KDAY and KLCK as the pilots get up to speed on their new aircraft. :wink:

Thanks, was trying to decide which C-5 to swap out for the C-17, but the FP helps.

It is most probably me but when i try to compile the C17 flightplans i get an error saying there is something missing at the end of the flightplan section, any ideas?

If you are using TTOOL, usually it explain well where is the problem.
If you post the flightplan, someone could give it a look....

Did you also edit the aircraft.txt file? As well as the airports.txt and the flightplans.txt

The flightpans are the ones in the first post by Mike JG above. The error is at the end of the flightpan where apparently something is missing, and i have edited the aircraft text and flightpan text.

When you copy the raw on screen text like that to your .txt file, pay careful attention to the commas and other small characters. Sometimes that stuff doesn't copy well.

You will have to make your own Aircraft.txt entry and make sure you change your AC# to whatever you are using.

sim=PAIC17V6
model=CLOSED
texture=RCH_89_AS_97-0044

KFFO,N39* 49.49',W84* 2.79',820

You need to remove the comma behind the last "KFFO" in the flight plan. That comma is tricking TTools into thinking that there is more to the flight plan.

I think they still use the "RHINO" callsign for their local flights IIRC.
