ACG Gutersloh
Re: ACG Gutersloh
Fantastic package, I have JY's Harriers and Lightnings operating out of here, magic.
My only problem is ATC keep telling me to land on Runway 6, which is the chopper one.

Fantastic package.
At the mo I only have the Ai Harriers and Chinnys operating out of there.
I used my 41 SQD FGR1 Phantom out of there as I don't have any flyable Harriers as yet.

Re: ACG Gutersloh
Obvious questions:
1. Have you downloaded the separate AI packages?
2. Are all the files installed in the right place - aircraft and traffic?
3. Is AI enabled in the sim and set to 100% initially?
4. You are not trying to use the scenery in FSX?

Re: ACG Gutersloh
Okay, after a long time absent, tonight some few more shots of the Harrier Hides, John Youngs Harriers real playground:
- Hides now improved. Better textures, time tweaked. They come along with the also tweaked barriers, both open at day for operations, closed at dusk/dawn/night after finishing time...
John's Harriers touch down vertically! on a concrete pad...
...then parked and hidden among the trees...
Also high resolution camouflage for trucks and landies...
..a nice destination for John Youngs marvellous AI Harriers 3.Sqn and 4.Sqn...

Re: ACG Gutersloh
I can't begin to tell potential users of this little gem how much work Manfred has put into the project. Like Gutersloh, all credit it to him for growing his skills, sticking with it and getting there. Well done Manfred.

Hi,
although we have no real winter at moment, here some pics of the Senne Range around end of the 1980s - no aircraft, but SNOW...

Re: ACG Gutersloh
Because I know it is an AI forum chiefly, it is strange to see screenshots WITHOUT AI aircraft. But in reality simply there were no Harriers at wintertime. For that reason, I am planning to create two different flightplans for John's Harriers, summer season and winter season. If any of you has any good suggestion how to manage it into only one flightplan, each help is much appreciated!
Regards, Manfred.
Re: ACG Gutersloh
The longest period you can make flightplans for is weekly, so it wouldn't matter if you did 2 sets of flightplans.
A workaround would be to create a batch file that changes the extension of the flightplan ".bgl" to e.g. ".off" and back depending on the time of year, but the user would still need to run the batch file manually.

Re: ACG Gutersloh
Thanks, Greg. Okay, so I will add two different flightplans to the pack. There are many other seasonal flightplans around, so we can (have to) live with....

Re: ACG Gutersloh
Hi Dan,
sorry, not yet. I will start the second and last Harrier training area this week to release the complete Harrier Hides package near future. I decided to release it in a complete package because of the sophisticated flightplans that come along with the movements between RAF Gutersloh and the Hides.
We have to consider different Harrier aircraft behaviour to be geared to each other. There are vertical operating Harriers being able to start and land vertical on a concrete pad, short take off and vertical landing ones for operations on the road and conventional working Harriers for their movements at RAF Gutersloh. To be able creating working flightplans, I need the control over the movements to these four places overall.
Furthermore, at the current Senne-Range scenery, the Harriers move back inside their Hides by using the "runway" for taxiing. To shield that they don't crash into take-off aircraft, I have to study a lot of legs, before release without accidents....
Although a small area scenery, it is more complicated to let the AI run....
