Something to keep the time ticking over until midnight, here's a brilliant documentary on the TSR-2:

.. and something to help you get your head straight again tomorrow, an 18-part documentary covering just about every aspect of Soviet aircraft design, both civil and military: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL69B0CB4788F64720

Very interesting documentation about the TSR-2. Reminds me a lot of the story about the Avro Arrow. Very sad to see not only how those fantastic aircraft vanished just so, but also how this has affected the aircraft industries of both countries.

Both should find a home in our AI skies ;)
Cheers,
Martin

Some video footage taken last year with a Utah National Guard UH-60 doing their bit to quell wildfires. The image of one of the trees totally engulfed in flames is quite eerie....

They look like Chinese built Chengdu J10's to me. Shame about the ridiculous jet noise noise that accompanies the video though

The 67th Fighter Squadron, known as the "Fighting Cocks," won the Raytheon Trophy for air-to-air excellence for their 6th time in history in 2013, making them the most-winning squadron in the US Air Force.

The arrival of the B-52 at Duxford back in the day. Reportedly the shortest runway it had ever landed on.
