After reading the read-me twice, the 89th AW C-12's are in fact gone from KADW.

You can keep them in the sim as they are assigned to US Embassy flights:

1218= USE Bogota
0498= USE Budapest
DUSTOFF
ARMY PROPS
NAVY SAR

Can i overwrite the old package (V2) with this one, or i have to delete the whole old package like it says in the readme file?

If yes. which aircrafts are involved in the old package and not the Seaboard ANG package and USN Airliners Part 3.
It makes me a bit confused, because all these packages contains a piece a Andrews AFB instead of one central Andrews package.

Edit: I believe delete all 89th and AF1 aircraft except the E-4 is enought right? then install the new package.

What is the name of the old traffic bgl from v2?? I can not seem to find it so I can delete it.

Edit: never mind, I see what I did. When I installed the previous package I split it up. I put the C-40's in the UGA BBJ package and the other planes I did similar. I just made updating this package harder for myself. :x

Is there anywhere where I can download v1 and v2 so I know exactly what textures I need to delete? I think I got them, but I am not sure if I got all of them.

I just noticed that one of the flags on the C-40's tail is backwards. The stripes are supposed to be to the back of the plane, but you have the stars to the back of the plane. (you can see the screenshot of the backward flag on the C-40 on the homepage)

Oops. I can't believe we all overlooked that... I hope Mark reads this and maybe he can post a corrected version of his paint here.

Thanks for the links. Looks like I did miss some textures.

PS: The backwards flag is on all the C-40's from the 89th AW, not just one.

I will check to see if I still have the PSD for this paint and get it corrected. Easy to mess it up when the paintkid is upside down and reversed

Were the flags on the C-40 paints ever corrected?

I have tried and tried to install the Andrews package with no luck.

I installed the Langley AFB and Patrick AFB packages without a problem.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

To help you we are going to need more information from you.

If the installer is not working. Delete your downloaded copy and then download it again. Install again.

If the installer does work and you can not see everything you are expecting to, let us know what you are missing and also what is visible.

Some of the military sceneries from Team SDB can conflict with these sceneries. The older ones were made to work with FS2002 originally. The way the FS2002 excludes are compiled, makes them delete scenery close to it and sometimes half a world away.

Try a new download and start from there.

A little patience and we will have you up and running.

I have tried deleting and downloading the files 3-4 times and can not install.
None of the scenery shows up, no planes at all.
I am running FS2004. Like I said, ' Langley and Patrick AFB work fine.

Hi Bob,

Just to eliminate the obvious, can you confirm you have activated the scenery in the sim?

Edit: As luck would have it, I had recently done a fresh FS9 install and hadn't got round to Andrews. Donwloaded the file and installed it - activated the scenery. All installed properly (scenery and aircraft) so the file itself is okay.

As was mentioned earlier Alphasim and Team SDB sceneries do have a habit of wiping out other sceneries.

Do you have any of their sceneries installed for the US? If you do try inactivating them all and seeing what happens at Andrews.

We had somebody else have issues with Nellis, which wouldn't show up, and when they inactivated all their Alphasim sceneries if magically appeared.

Bob

I think Stewart has the answer.

You need to activate the scenery in the Scenery library of FS9.

The other two packages have no buildings and the "afcads" go into the Addon scenery/scenery folder.
They are therefore active without any input from you.

The default KADW has no parking for AI aircraft, so without activating the scenery no aircraft will be visible.

Yes, I had to go into the scenery files and add scenery.

I thought Andrews would install just like Langley and Patrick. Mybad!!

Thanks for the help.

Hope this question makes sense. I have both Andrews v3 and PAX River NAS (KNHK) installed
and working fine. Then I installed MegaScenery Mid-Atlantic. KNHK is inside the MegaScenery
Mid-Atlantic scenery area and still shows up and works. This is in FS9.

But Andrews is missing buildings along the west side of the runways. No AF1 hanger etc. Only thing on the west side is the ammo bunkers, trees, fence, control tower and the water tower in the NE section. Lots of buildings display on east side.
Previous versions were deleted as instructed. From what I can gather from searching the forums, MAIW packages appear to work with MegaScenery installed with no problems.

I have removed and reinstalled Andrews V2. Removed and reinstalled MegaScenery Mid-Atlainic with no joy.

Thoughts, ideas, solutions? Great thanks.
