Hello very nice work here. :)

I have been wishing for a Edwards up to MAIW standards for years.
I'm glad to see you moving in that direction.

I went there years ago for a airshow and can tell you have captured the spirit of the area.

Any Idea when you will release the textures to go with it?

The scenery is brilliant. But for practicle use, it is way too detailed. The highly detailed nature of each scenery model results in a low overall fps. This will never change unless the number of polygons that have to be rendered are reduced significantly.

To get any scenery to run at acceptable fps, you have to sacrifice some details on the actual scenery models themselves.

You can make up for the lack of modeling details by using high fidelity textures. You can also make use of scenery LODs as well as clustering multiple scenery objects into a single model.

Being Edwards, people will want to populate the base with all sorts of AI traffic. That only compounds the number of polygons that a user's system has to render and then texture on top of that.

To BadPvtDan :WOW,great post.... 8)

But what MIKE JG wrote is true,it is very detailed scenery. For me it is not problem to create FSDS objects with different levels of LOD,but I not know why,FDSD 3.5.1 and FS9 SDK (Make MDL) is not able to create/compile mdl file with LODs.
Any ideas? :( :(
I think I found the way?????  :to use FSDS to create object with LODs and final mdl compile by ModelConverterX,it works fine,so now I need to test it in the FlightSim.I hope that it will work.....

Hi Proximo,

I took the liberty of converting your scenario, beta 3 to fit P3D v2.5.
The result is truly remarkable, and contrary to what I read about your impressions with FSX, the scenario is extremely fluent and frames and never drop below 30 FPS, at least with my pc which, in truth, is not exactly small ...
I hope to please publishing these screens, to give way to evaluate the result on this simulator.
