A patched version of the MAIW Belgian Alpha Jets is now available.

The changes include:
  • Model update for the PSAI Alpha Jet 1B+ to correct the “wobbling wheels” and updated textures.
  • Replaced control tower at LFBC Cazaux with a new model from Miljan Korac.
  • Fix for the floodlights at LFBC Cazaux. They now only shine during dusk, night and dawn.
  • Fix in the flightplans.
You can download the new package here.

As an alternative for those who downloaded the original package, a patch package for manual installation is also available here. Please read the included patch notes.

Thanks to Pascal for the fix on the Alpha Jet model which may seem easier than it actually was, Mark W. for the textures and Miljan for the tower model.

Greg, shouldn't we mention that on the frontpage of the website?

Hello James,

The Belgian Alpha Jets package was released back in April. The announcement on the front page only refers to the v1.1 patch that came out recently. You will find the exact same announcement a couple of posts up this thread.

Since Cazaux AB was also included in the "French Mirages Part 7" package how would one go about integrating these Cazaus updates into that installation? Aside from installing the Belgium Alphajet and v1.1 update packages on top of the Mirage package? Or is that the best approach? I just ask because I want to keep visitors to my website informed.

Hi Frank,

The Cazaux scenery in the Belgian Alpha Jets package is a completely remade and much more accurate version.

Everything is explained in the readme with the package:
***Important remark***

If you have the MAIW “French Mirage 2000 Part 7” package installed, you have to remove the following files from the folder: “Flight Simulator 9/Addon scenery/ MAIW French AB Scenery/Scenery”, or the scenery for Cazaux won’t show correctly.

MAIW_AFX_LFBC.bgl
MAIW_Cazaux Scenery.bgl
MAIW_LFBC_EXC.bgl

I've updated the AFCAD of EBBE, with the new appron for the new NH-90 Helicopter.

The two new hangar are still missign, but I'll design them fastly.

Simply replace the original bgl file with this one (in the MAIW Belgian Airbases directory)

No, I do not control all the aircraft design.

I know just ADE9 and some other software to design sceneries . I have also some projects in my portfolio , which at multiple stages of development. I would have finished them to share .... but like everyone else , real life has its obligations.

Greg,

Got the Adrian Brausch flyable model that comes with a single LOD labeled AI. I found it in a large non-MAIW New Zealand package.
