Refresh the page. It'll work normally.

Thanks Mike,MIKE JG wrote:I think it's a Java thing. For some reason if you leave this page and then return, the videos show up.
I first noticed this last night.
This works for me too.
Re: MAIW Military Video Collection
Well with the latest Firefox, the latest Java, cache set to 0Kb and empty neither a refresh nor a move to a different page changes anything. So no start pages or links available.
This is the only bug I have found on the new provider. It was working fine until then.

Steve I was just browsing the forums with Firefox and it wasn't displaying the forums correctly. It wouldn't recognize my login, wouldn't show new posts etc.
Could it be that the new forums software does not play nice with Firefox??
(Currently browsing with Chrome and it's working fine)

Re: MAIW Military Video Collection
Forums tested on Chrome, Firefox and Edge. It loads fine on all three. If you have any display or login problems, it's always going to be due to an old cache or session cookie (remember, when you switch to a browser you haven't used in a while, to clear its cookies and cache as well).
The video plugin didn't work on all three initially. Mike's suggestion worked with all three browsers. Go to another page, come back, wait until the plugin loads and the videos show. I'm not sure why it does that but it looks like a Java issue.

Re: MAIW Military Video Collection
Well I tried uninstalling and re-installing the java plugin :-
Java(TM) Platform SE 8 U66
File: npjp2.dll
Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_66\bin\plugin2\npjp2.dll
Version: 11.66.2.17
State: Enabled
Next Generation Java Plug-in 11.66.2 for Mozilla browsers
Clearing the cache, deleting the cookies (which I had not thought of) and trying again. Nothing. Just a big black square with a link to a Russian site, http://phpbbex.com/, in the bottom right corner.
Incidentally, I tried this at work as well and exactly the same thing. That was with a older version of firefox and version 7 of java. Again it used to work there as well. This seems to suggest that there is something else deeper here as again it has only happened since we moved provider, but I don't have a reason for it yet.
There is a certain combination of something that used to work but now doesn't. Will keep thinking but if anybody has any ideas let me know.

Hi Barry, campbeme wrote:Err..magic you better sit down before you watch this.
I watched it a few days ago and was very impressed. I'm probably not going to download and install it until they issue the first bug fix update and it becomes available on a mirror site instead of as the current torrent. BMS has done an amazing job wringing everything that they can from the old and outdated Falcon 4 engine.

The video is showing 2 DCS products, DCS World 2.0 and the DCS: Nevada Test and Training Map. The former will in all probability be free as has been DCS World 1.0 and 1.5, but the latter will cost $49.99 when it is released later this year.
Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield game, focusing on simulation of military aircraft. It includes the FREE Su-25T and TF-51D aircraft and it is extensible through additional DCS modules as well as user-made add-ons and mods.
DCS World includes a vast mission area of the Caucasus region that encompasses much of Georgia - the location of the Russian invasion of Georgia in 2008.
Below are the minimum and recommended system requirements:Key Features of DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range Map:
- 366,000 sq. kilometres that covers portions of Nevada, Utah, Arizona and California.
- Highly detailed modelling of Nellis Air Force Base, Creech Air Force Base, McCarran International Airport, and the Area 51 facility.
- Hoover Dam and Lake Meade.
- All VOR and VORTAC radio navigation beacons.
- High resolution mesh and textures around the detailed airbases.
- The entire NTTR airspace as well indication of all sub-ranges.
- Las Vegas, Pahrump, Mesquite, Moapa, Indian Springs, Boulder City and other cities and towns in and nearby the NTTR. This also includes all major roads, railways, and power lines.
BTW...I have no affiliation with Eagle Dynamics/DCS other than being a satisfied user of their products.Minimum system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i3; RAM: 8 GB; Free hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: 2 GB RAM card, DirectX11 - compatible; requires internet activation.
Recommended system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+; RAM: 16GB; Hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX780 / ATI R9 290 DirectX11 or better; Joystick; requires internet activation.
Re: MAIW Military Video Collection
Good lord, so lets say you were going to build a new system to meet the 'recommended specs' that Mike has listed.
How much in Euros or USD for comparison.
IOW for a loser like myself that has no gaming system any longer, what's the new admission price??
