AI AgustaWestland Wildcat & Merlin iHC3 /HC4

Post by lmgaylard »

Hello chaps.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of anyone who might be producing an AI model of the AgustaWestland Wildcat AH1 / HMA2? I've had a good look around the internet and I can't seem to see anything.

Also, is there an AI Merlin iHC3 or HC4 in production somewhere or, perhaps in the planning stage?

Thank you in advance.

Gaffer of UKMIL has spoke of doing a wildcat ai model after he spends a little time updating his Lynx ai model :)

As for the Merlin im not too sure there, John (VulcanDriver) would be the man to ask!!

Much thanks

Thanks for the replies chaps, much appreciated.

VulcanDriver: is your HC3/HC4 in RN markings? And an AI model I assume?

I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Thank you.

Yes it will be an AI model and as they are ex RAF they will be in retro RAF and RN markings.

Here is a work in progress screenshot of the HC.3 the HC.4 will have the "lumpy" nose. Any naval bits will be removed during the final stages of production.

looking great John!
Just to let you know, current mk's for the ex-RAF now RN is MK3 (normal nose), MK3a (Danish style nose). The RN has about 6 converted to MK3i standard (manual folding blades, extra tie downs on u/c & roping fixture on side door next to winch fitting). The first MK4 (auto folding blades & tail) is currently at Agustawestlands for conversion. As far as I know, the 6 ex-Danish a/c will remain as they are with possible upgrade for folding 'bits' in future sometime.

no official photo's yet of it. A/C is ZJ122/F, I can tell you it's light grey (same as MK2's), roundels/tail markings in pink/light blue, lettering is black. Has folding tail & main rotors. From photo I have seen, there's new 'lumps' on tail spine! Hopefully a photo will be available soon!!
