Tyndall AFB, Florida?

Looking nice so far.
Those hundreds of objects surrounding the base are trees I suppose?
I have a little concern that this might cause frame rate issues on some older systems.

There are a few tree line objects that are suitable for european sceneries.
But I do not know if there are any tree lines available with trees from this part of the world.

Maybe the trees could be saved in a separate bgl.file at the end so that the trees can be disabled if neccessary?
Just a suggestion...

Yep, it is Tyndall. I'll see what I can do about the trees (Ha, I did go overboard with the trees lol, these bases in florida are almost always surrounded by dense forest though.) . They do seem pretty framerate friendly. Im using trees by Matthew Tomkins found on Avsim (South Trees download). If I can't create a separate BGL, I can compile a version without trees. Also, I'm running into a snag with the Sun shelters for the F-22's. In real life they are angled. I'm only able to find sunshelters that are not angled (hard to tell in the pic below). It's bothering me cause it's taking away from accuracy. I'll see if I can find something to simulate this.

On the trees front get some advice from the formar ACG guys, JY, Rocket or Stevo.

They have experience of placing tree groves/woods with a minimum of impact. Ian did tell me once the way to do it but I can't be sure. I think it was placing all at once rather than individually, so there is only one draw call.

Of course my memory could be corrupted.

Will do. I have noticed a slight drag in frames when approaching Tyndall, but it lasts a couple of seconds. Then everything works fine.

Just so you know that hangar on the last pic seems to have the same lack-of-texture issue I ran into on my Mehrabad scenery. Not sure if that texture is around somewhere but I was informed that there were some nearly identical hangars in the Elmendorf Library. Perhaps it would be worth swapping it out?

Check the MAIW Aircraft Shelters library. It has these I used at Davis Monthan:

If you look at Google Earth, the shelter are not anguled like this, clickclickdoh . But anguled in losange, with plane roof.

Not rectangular shelter, but losange shelter.

Yes, the big one with the black (textureless) side walls.

Ah, he needs flat roof sun shelters. Objects 30, 33 or 34 in the MAIW Aircraft Shelters library should do best for that.

These ones in the background are objects 33 and 34 in the MAIW Aircraft Shelters:

They are mostly flat with a slight peak in them. About half as many peaks as the real ones.

Yeah I'll try those. Didn't realize the roof was so flat.
