Is anyone building full flightplans for the six Shadow R1 aircraft? I will knock up some simple fictional plans for my own use if I have to, but I always prefer more accurate plans from forum members who have more information than I do :)

Did you miss the traffic file for them in the package or is it that you want a different set of flightplans?

The flightplans in the package are pretty basic Steve, so if anyone wants to flesh them out, that would be fine.

Understand that completely, John.
Just clarifying what was being asked for.

Yes, the included flightplans are basically back and forth between RAF Waddington and RAF Coningsby. I am sure that they fly to other UK destinations, and it would be nice to see them on my travels :)

Hi John,

I know this model strictly speaking is a military AI model, however I've been painting a few civilian versions using the generic 1 and
generic 2 models.

I have noticed that the left and right sides of the vertical stabiliser don't match up properly when painting for the generic 2 model, but have sort of been able to work around it.
However in my last paint, I've notice that join between the right hand side of the fuselage and vertical stabiliser is far off.

Please see attached screenshot. The white break on the bottom of the vertical stabiliser and on the fuselage, are the same.

This issue does not appear to occur in the generic 1 model.

I've checked the mapping on both the top of the fuselage at the tail end and on the vertical stabiliser and it looks OK. However, the problem might be caused by the bottom of the vertical stabiliser being positioned just below the top of the fuselage in the model.

Could you possibly PM me the texture you've created and I'll see if I can get you a better result.

Is this in FS9 or FSX please?

Thanks John,

Sent the latest version of the texture in a PM (it's still in the outbox, so not sure if you've received it).

Same issue with the FS9 and FSX models.

I've re-mapped the fin texture on the Generic 2 FSX model to enable a better flow-through pattern from the fin to the fuselage. Morten has the new model, but if anyone else needs it for something similar, just PM me.

Please note that some of my paints, such as the Wheels Up fleet, look better on the original Gen 2 model, as their livery doesn't have continual lines running from the fuselage to the vertical stabiliser.

I'm going to go through all my repaints for the Gen 2 model and re-upload where needed.

Thanks again John for your quick response and resolution of my issue, and for your work in general.

The V2 Generic 2 model fixes the alignment. If you PM me your e-mail address, I'll send it to you.

I need to stress that I produced the paints for the military versions included in the B-350 package and the mapping works fine for them. The generic paint kits were just a bonus to make use of as is. There may well be mapping issues with some complex civilian paint schemes and I really don't want to spend a lot of time back tracking to cater for all possible map directions and eventualities.

I tested the mapping on the FS9 Generic 2 model this morning. It's out on one side by just a few mm and can be corrected by the painter moving the affected area a fraction so it aligns perfectly with the other side. However, I have corrected it in the model and I will e-mail as requested if you could check your address - my mail client won't recognise it. Should the "-" be an "@"?

Hello Mr Jhon Young,
I finish my version of PK for your plane for civilian use, I found to small problem on the Right side of the engine. More exactly near to the end of the nacelle of the engines. In the model generic 2 and 3, is no bid deal.
But my original reason is to show you how is looking the plane with this PK and ask permitían for use and post.
You can found me in the AIG group under Pacos paint.
Thank and congratulations for the model and for your new 767.
Regards
Francisco
(Paco).
