Blue Angels Homecoming NAS Pensacola

Post by shaggy22 »

I'll do this one like I did the Wings over Homestead in terms of little updates at a time, starting with the static. Some of them are serving aircraft & a few are museum pieces in immaculate condition.

Got very few of them unfortunately, I don't find RV-7's overly interesting so didn't take too many

Not the most exciting update you'll see from myself but some may like these. The British weather seems to follow me around, Pensacola on that day was no exception, it was very cloudy for most of the day. However it was a high cloud base so we did get full display from everyone.

No worries. They are RV-8s actually, I hope to start building one myself next year. The Team Redline pilots, Ken and Jon, are very nice and are active in the RV community. They actually have a side business doing panel installs for homebuilders.

Final daylight update on this, finishing with the USAF F-16 solo & the headline act, the Blue Angels. Fat Albert was unfortunately u/s so didn't display on either days. Great shame as I was kind of looking forward to seeing that.

Thanks Mike, did take me a bit by surprise, just thought my lens went went wandering as it does from time to time at first.

Final update from the first day, this was the twilight show featuring the A-4, MiG-17 & the Shockwave jet truck. The MiG especially with it's afterburner was stunning to watch. The second day will be don in another thread. Unfortunately my camera isn't the best in low light conditions so they're a little grainy.

Too late, Pete. John is still already starring at the B-36 that Dan has captured so nicely... :-) :-) :-)

Very cunningly put Martin, it did make me laugh - you are determined to get that B-36!

I don't want to hijack Dan's thread, so suffice to say for the moment, I am researching 3 potential subjects, all of them requests and all of them very different.
