One quick question:

The aircraft texture files are all DXT3 with mips is this the best solution for FS9 ?

On all my Airline paints I normally have my main texture file with mips and my Lightmap without. Does it make any difference to either Frame-rates or quality ??

A too long job in my opinion.
Readme is clear, all the files from version1.
I've deleted the four aircraft dir and the Misawa dir in the addon scenery, and overwrite all the remaining.

To be honest, the best way to do this is to use the v1 package installer again and create a manual install temp folder.
Then you will have all the folders and files in a structure and you can then use this as a guide and delete the files from your system.
Mostly it will be a simple delete of the scenery and aircraft folders UNLESS, like me, you integrate them rather than keep them separate.

Here's alisting of the files from the V1 installation
Misawa.txt
(6.46 KiB) Downloaded 66 times

hope it helps

Jim

Only prob I had on the V2 install is the files are put in the top level of the FS9 folder in a "Program Files" folder with the corresponding Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery etc folder structure underneath.

Jim we've been trying to sort that out with the installer.

You're saying that when you install it, it puts the package contents into the "Program Files" folder instead of down the chain in the Flight Simulator 9 folder??

Is that what's going on from you end??

It puts the folder structure of program files\Microsoft games\flight sim and on down into the flightsim top level directory that you select at the start of the install process

Where do you keep your 'Flight Simulator 9' folder?

For example, I keep mine in C:/Flight Simulator 9

What is your path?

Thank you Jim. Very useful. I had the same prob with the installer. I installed all in a separate folder and then moved all folders to the right place

You really have to hand it to Kevin and Mike for dedication and effort with the new F-16 and associated scenery. I see from our internal developer section of the forum that the F-16 thread is now at page 62, having started it in October 2011. Every day when I check my posts and messages, I notice that something more is being discussed, built, painted, modified or tested, that pushes the models that bit further. Over 5 years of effort to produce these F-16s is something everyone must applaud, particularly in the name of freeware, that is developed, not because they have to, but because they want to.

Thank you guys for the kind words. This certainly has been a true team effort with Kevin living on the other side of the planet. And we're just getting started!

The V2 file in the hangar is now updated with Mike's AFD fix and the (hopefully) correct installation path.

Hello Guys

I have d/l MISAWA RJSM and noticed missing waypoint data in the traffic file. (see pic) As this is the first ever MAIW file I have seen missing info I thought I would ask if this is normal or am I indeed lacking something.

Cheers

It seems to be one of those areas that we have never really maintained control of as a lot of these waypoints came form individuals creating addons and releasing them and most people just forget that they have not been released as part of official packages.

We need to do something about this once we have finished our tidy up of scenery libs.

Anyway for now here are the missing ones for you, with exception of the Singapore ones (WS**) as I don't seem to have them either.

If somebody could post the Singapore waypoints or where they can be obtained that would be very helpful.
