The second part of the tour saw us leave the north east & travel down to the south west & first stop was Luke AFB near Phoenix Arizona. The weather was very un-English with 35 Degree temps & clear blue skies all day long. There may have been only 2 aircraft types on show but there were multiple operators as well, US, Norwegian, Italian, Japanese & Aussie F-35's all flew along with US, SCANG & Singaporean F-16's, the latter returning in stunning evening light.

Re: Luke AFB spotting
Those F-35s seem to be pretty active when not grounded. In-laws live next to Luke, I might be out there soon as well.

Great catches Dan! I hope you enjoyed your tour of the USA! I really hope to see your work in one of the military aviation pubs here soon, it is certainly worthy of it!
Gotta say the F-35 is growing on me.... Still think it's ugly but....

I'm not a fan of the F-35 either but it was nice to see multiple nations of them out & about.
