Last set from me from the tour of the US, there were a few museums as I well but I'll leave those on my flickr pages. This base is right up there with the best base I have ever visited, so much variety from just the home team but & a couple of nice visitors rocked up as well

The rest of the set are on flickr & my facebook page as usual.
The next day we were due to go to the MCAS Miramar air show but we ended up at March ARB instead, there wasn't much flying but there was this little gem

Mike, I have the Cold War Museum Hind in my area (well the Republic of Texas), I've been able to get a close look at it just not able to sit inside yet at local air shows.
Great pics and I need to mark that museum down, I was spoiled when stationed at NAS Pensacola, FL with the National Naval Aviation Museum onsite.

Re: MCAS Yuma
Was a nice surprise to see it for sure, although it was incredibly hazy as you can see. For me I was more take aback by the 2 EA-6's, never seen one before & wasn't expecting to either

Re: MCAS Yuma
Cheers, definitely an excellent museum to visit. Although they don't allow you to shoot directly at the active pan. Anything over building height is all good thoughVictory103 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2017, 21:41Mike, I have the Cold War Museum Hind in my area (well the Republic of Texas), I've been able to get a close look at it just not able to sit inside yet at local air shows.
