IWAKUNI - 2018

Post by ws.jones27 »

Hi Brent and John, just like to say another great package but I think the C-12W aircraft do not have a traffic file.

It should be named Traffic_Iwakuni HHS.bgl.

They should park on the military passenger ramp which is kind of behind everything.

No worries. There are so many aircraft types and flight plans in this package I had to think about it for a while before I was sure.

Hi Brent, thanks for this update.
A question about F-18

Does the units in this pack substitute the same already deployed at Atsugi, Lemoore and Whidbey Island?

Thanks, Giorgio

The Navy portion of this pack represents the current composition of Carrier Air Wing 5, which until October of 2107 was stationed at NAF Atsugi. At the end of October, Carrier Air Wing 5 began a permanent change of station to MCAS Iwakuni.

Not represented in this package, but also relocated from Atsugi to Iwakuni is VAW-125

For this package we made all new paints since these many of these squadrons were previously painted on legacy Hornets. Any squadrons represented in this package can be removed from prior locations as Iwakuni is their new home.

The USMC legacy Hornets also got all new paints due to changes in aircraft assignment since the original MAIW Iwakuni package was released.

Brent,

I did not have time to have a look at your updated scenery yet and I won't have time for the next few days since I am trying to finish Pax River.

Are are there still a few parking spots at Iwakuni for the JMSDF S-80Ms (MH-53E Sea Dragons) of 111 Kokutai?
I know they were retired in March last year, but anyway...

Do you have some reference material of the VAW-125 birds?
They are flying the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye right? I could paint them for you on the EDaviation model.

Yes, the parking spots are still in place for 111 Kokutai. They are on a secondary AFCAD file for use by helicopters and F-35Bs doing STOVL practice using the helipad by the sea wall.

111 Kokutai is now flying MCH-101s, but I couldn't find a model that fits their particular configuration.

VAW-125 is indeed flying E-2D Advanced. Here is their most current color bird at Iwakuni:

The current aircraft are:
168989 NF-600
168990 NF-604
168991 NF-603
168992 NF-602
168993 NF-601

The other aircraft are typically blah..

About to ask about -125 in the other thread. For the FSX'ers, there is also the RFN AI package with a E-2C running N2k props.

Well, that does not look too difficult. They are on my list.

The E-2D Hawkeyes of VAW-125 "Tigertails" also arrived at Iwakuni.

Thanks to Brent Newman for the flightplans!

The repaints and flightplan should be available in the download hangar soon.

Does anybody know if the RFN E-2 Ai work in P3d4?
